The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) are announcing the signing ceremony of the bi-communal business partnerships grants aimed at supporting bi-communal consortia that wish to make business partnerships with the other community. In the framework of the “Economic Interdependence” project, sponsored by UNDP-ACT, subsidies amounting to 174,493 Euros will be given to five successful consortia consisting of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot partners.

To this end, the two Chambers jointly organize the grants award event on Thursday 24th February 2011 at Chateau Status (opposite Ledra Palace) from 11.00 till 13.OO, during which the winning consortia will sign their Memorandum of Understandings.

The bi-communal business partnerships grant programme is an activity of the Economic Interdependence project which aims to promote economic interdependence between the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot community and at contributing to the business and economic relations between the two communities.

One of the other activities of the project is a survey of the present situation concerning economic interdependence between the two communities, while a number of other activities have also been undertaken for the further economic cooperation and convergence between the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot communities.
